On Sunday 23rd April, the launching authority saw a young man aged around 13 years, fall off the concourse onto the lower concourse towards Jarvis.  He fell around 4 feet on to his back.  Initial thoughts were of a head or back injury.  However, having been examined and then carried to the end of our slipway, it became apparent that we were dealing with a nasty foot injury, possible break, but looked more like severe bruising.  The casualty was carried to a waiting car and headed to Redcar for an X-ray.  Two crew were in attendance.
